On May 11th at the Felix C. Davis Community Center in North Charleston, Community Pride, Inc. of Charleston County held it's 46th annual awards presentation. Community Pride is a nonprofit organization that promotes environmental stewardship among all citizens of Charleston County and honors those who are committed to environmental improvement.
The Charleston Chapter of Surfrider Foundation was the recipient of the Captains Pride Award, which is given to the top 10 individuals, businesses, governments, or civic organizations that have undertaken tasks that have significantly improved the environment. We are honored to be recognized for the work we do, and we look forward to continuing our mission of protecting the worlds oceans, waves and beaches.
