Want to get more involved but don’t know how? Check out the volunteer opportunities below.
Attend our next cleanup!
We will provide all supplies! We suggest closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Please bring a reusable water bottle. Volunteers of all ages welcome!
Meet in the parking lot of Tradesman Brewing (1647 King Street Ext.
Charleston SC 29405). Volunteers will receive a free beer after the cleanup, and $1 of each additional pint purchase will be donated to the hosting organizations.
Meet us at the 2nd Street East beach access for an awesome evening with Rheos! They’ll be raffling off a pair of sunglasses to participants in the cleanup!
Spend a beautiful morning on the marsh — and help restore the oyster beds of Mosquito Beach! Join Preserve the Gullah, the Charleston Surfrider Foundation and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (South Carolina Oyster Restoration and Enhancement, or SCORE program) and the South Carolina Aquarium to build an oyster reef with recycled oyster shells and do a litter clean-up at historic Mosquito Beach on James Island.
-Everyone should wear closed-toed shoes (no crocs or flip flops!) and clothes you do not mind getting a little dirty or wet.
-SCDNR will provide water, gloves, sunscreen, first aid, bug spray, and cups for water. We encourage volunteers to be eco-friendly and bring their own refillable bottles.
-This is a kid-friendly event for children 10 years old and older.
-Please reserve a free ticket to help us get an idea of how many people are attending: http://bit.ly/ReefBuildVolunteer
Meet us in the Durst Family Medicine parking lot for an awesome evening with Rheos! They’ll be raffling off a pair of sunglasses to participants in the cleanup!
