Advocate against harmful single-use items on James Island!
We have recently passed an ordinance banning plastic bags, plastic straws, and styrofoam in the City of Charleston. This a huge step for our environment that was made possible by the huge support our community showed at City Hall Meetings! Next up is James Island!
James Island Town Council is considering a plastic reduction ordinance and the ordinance passed its first reading at the last Town Hall meeting. But it before it becomes official, the council will vote 1 to 2 more times. Email your James Island councilmen to let him know that you are in favor of the plastic reduction ordinance!
