SUMMARY:James Island: Take Action For Climate Change
DESCRIPTION:As we speak\, people like you and I are trying to reach out to local community leaders to step up and take ACTION on climate change by adopting the Climate Emergency Declaration Resolution. This resolution is a public recognition of the current and coming challenge of the climate crisis and a resolution to act on it. It acknowledges that we cannot continue with “business as usual\,” but have to shift into problem-solving mode and actively adopt climate-responsible practices. \nWe need your HELP- especially if you live in James Island\, SC or have friends/family members that do- to urge the Town of James Island to vote YES to the Climate Emergency Mobilization Resolution this Thursday\, Sept 17th at 7PM during the James Island virtual Town Meeting. \nDetails on how to take action:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReach out to the James Island officials below and tell them you’re excited to see James Island leading on climate action! This will put JI on the climate action map — literally — and serve as an inspiration for other local municipalities to follow suit.
